Front Desk Associate Position: You are the first face people see upon entering the hotel. Front desk is in charge of check-ins, check-outs, reservations, keeping the lobby clean and replenishing the complementary drinks and snacks, handling money and authorizing and charging for rooms and incidentals, as well as, doing whatever the guest requests and handling whatever situation occurs.

Starting pay is $10.00/hour and is increased with seniority and position. The position provides wonderful networking opportunities within the world-renowned Hilton brand. Requirements and Qualifications
There is a training module through Hilton's brand that must be completed before being able to be behind the desk. It is partly for inclusiveness and learning about policies such as ADA. However, a majority of it is how to work the computer system. It takes about three 8-hour shifts to complete and is a lot of information to learn before starting behind the counter. A high school completion is requested, but a college degree isn't required. TABC and First Aid training is required and must be current.
Achievements
I have successfully learned the OnQ computer system for checking in and checking out guests as well as making reservations and adjustments. It also deals with the Credit Card payments and anything having to do with money and revenue. I have also learned how to work Quore for maintenance and housekeeping requests as well as Lost and Found log. In addition to the computer systems, I have improved my communication skills in between shifts and the necessary departments within the hotel.
